GRACE

When you receive Jesus, from then on God sees the righteousness of Jesus in you. He sends the Holy Spirit to live in you, and now you can be close to God. You can speak to Him and hear Him speak to your heart. The Holy Spirit helps you to pray, and God hears and answers, not because of what you deserve, but because of what Jesus did.

So… I got on the train…

Empty train! Smile

DSC02293Haha… first time in my life ktm is empty! Smile Happily I board the train and wait for it to move..

As we pass stations, people start boarding the train. Normal scene right? However, at the station before Bukit Badak, something feels wrong… Oh no! This train is the mix coach! Not ladies coach! No wonder everyone is looking at me bit funny… somemore I’m the only Chinese inside..

NEXT STOP> Bukit Badak. I quickly get up and thought of changing coach. I went out the door…walk pass one door… and oh no! the door closed!!! yikes! that means i’m stuck for another half an hour for the next train! Sad smile

While waiting…

DSC02295        DSC02297DSC02296See the third picture? There is an indian temple there. At that hour, I heard songs coming from the temple. around 7 something. It was a scary experience. I’m totally surrounded by disturbing people. By that, i’m referring to the motorcyclist and cars that passed by and whistle and horn.. Freaked out! But thankfully i’m inside the station which is wired up as shown in picture 2! ahah. thank God for that. As mentioned before, i’m the only chinese again there. haha.. what an experience. So with all these experience, I reached home 9.30pm.. Adventure eh? haha.. Really thank God the next train came even though the time shown changed. Another adventurous day… :)

Today I had a two days transfer to help my senior out with Conso. This place is located in Port Klang. First thought would be..

“Oh my… how do I go there?”

Thankfully my senior say he would pick me. Nevertheless, the journey involves transiting again with LRT. The going part is not that adventurous (only BTS-MJ-WM). Coz he will pick me up from WM and go there using Duke-NKVE. One hour ride it is Smile Salute all auditors for making such long trips everyday Smile

The exciting part is the going back part…

At around 6pm, my senior sent me to Port Klang KTM station. It was a really nice place. Quiet. You can look out to the sea. The station itself looks really old but really nice. Somehow.. Then comes the lala-ing part coz the train is due for another 20 minutes..

Of course, lala-ing of the station Smile

You can roughly estimate (or if you want a straight forward way, google it Smile with tongue out) how long ktm exist. Now… proceed with the next lala-ing…

Faded platform numbers!

Tut-tut train that we always play with! Smile

DSC02280

Time time time… bt the train never reach on time Smile

DSC02281

It is time to upgrade or improve the train Smile Everyone always complain this and that about ktm. But… When you think about it, to actually upgrade, who is going to pay the money? With so many train on hand, they have to dig out gold to be able to improve. So instead of complaining, why don’t someone either contribute money or contribute idea and energy? aint that more helpful than chi-chi-cha-cha chi-chi-cha-cha? Do something!

Now.. the real lala-ing…

I’m touching the rails! Smile

To be continued…

Precious blood…

I was just browsing my e-bible when I came across this..

Psalms 72:14

He will rescue them from oppression and violence, for precious is their blood in his sight.

This got me thinking about blood…

How precious blood is to human being. Without it, we are totally just skin and bones. It is the blood that brings all the nutriens through the veins and organs. It is the flow of the blood that actually determines the healthiness of a person.

Think about it, without nutriens and the important vitamins, how do we survive? without oxygen that flows with the blood, how will our body functions? Even hospital always asked for blood to rescue people.

Every drop of blood is just so precious. So precious some are even willing to sell blood to live or to live luxuriously.

Now think about this. Blood is used to sustain a human life and also it is used to rescue people.

So what does this have to do with the verse? You see, Jesus Christ shed His blood for us in order that we may be cleansed of our sins. Nowadays, people are so used to the word sin to them it is nothing. There is no big deal or hooha about it.

Some may see it as ‘we are humans, we will sin.’

Yes, human nature tends to be weak when it comes to obeying laws and doing what is right. For man and women are rebellious creatures. This has been shown in Genesis, the first book of the bible and throughout the bible as well. But are we to continue letting ourselves drown in this very human nature that we know is wrong? Deep down inside we know doing what is right is what is pleasing to God and also what is right. I don’t believe in the saying that we can never change. We can change, with the help of the Holy Spirit. It is by the grace of our father that we are able to change and repent and come humbly before him. We will not be perfect. But we will try our very best to be Godly in all ways.

Imagine someone actually shed his blood for you to cleanse what you did. If you say, ‘I didn’t ask him to do it.’ He wanted to do it. Yes, he wanted to do it. Because God loves us so much.. how can a father see his sons and daughters continue to do wrong and later rot in hell? No father would ever do that. So now, it is up to your choice to choose to accept or not. Its a personal choice which you have to make in your one life.

Blood… gives life and saves life. Remember how Jesus gives up his life for ours and it has saves our life.. Its as simple as that. What do you have to lose to find out for yourself what this is all about? Nothing.

The place where I call home…

I wonder…

When I’m far from home, where do I find home?

Will there ever be home for me?

I keep asking this question…

So far I’ve found no answer.

When I’m outside, I feel that I’m always under someone else’s roof.

I don’t dare to feel home, for it is temporary.

I feel like i’m interrupting.

No matter how much assurance given, I still don’t feel at home.

I’m scared. I feel my life to be very unpredictable and very challenging.

Things are very uncertain. Just like how the waves tossed about in the sea.

Then I think again, aren’t life suppose to be like that?

Unpredictable, challenging, but yet full of promises for God’s children?

Trust. Faith. Growth.

Thus, I have found my answer. However tough it may be, I know i’m not alone.

I may not always feel like everyone. I may not always be like everyone.

I may not be the common. I may not even be normal.

But I will always be me.

And who am I?

I am Esther, the tigress and mushroom head from Kuching.

Who by the grace and mercy of God the Father has been saved from sin and born again to live a new life pleasing to Him.

Great power and majesty and honour to our King of Heaven and Earth.

He shall reign forevermore! Smile

Praying for the Fullness of the Spirit

That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height — to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:16-19)

For those who are wondering how to be filled with the Spirit, the prayer in Ephesians 3 offers excellent insight. The precise relevance of this passage for our present subject is obvious, when the concluding purpose of the prayer is noted: "that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."

The opening phrases use the language of grace: "That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory." Grace is about God at work, giving us blessings we cannot deserve. These blessings are in proportion to His glorious spiritual riches. This perspective fits our studies on the Spirit perfectly, because when the Holy Spirit is at work, He pours out God's grace.

The initial request pertains to an inner working of the Spirit: "to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man." Note, this request is made on behalf of those who already have the Spirit residing in their hearts. The specific issue is about receiving new measures of spiritual power at the core of our being.

The desired result of this work of the Spirit is "that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith." Jesus is present in the heart of every believer. Here, He is being asked to settle down fully and make Himself at home. Jesus is being given free rein to rearrange our innermost being to fit His good pleasure. Allowing Jesus to rule our hearts requires the empowering work of the Holy Spirit to break past spiritual obstacles such as apathy, fear, self-focus, and temptations. To allow Jesus to lead us in His way, we need the Holy Spirit enabling us to stay in God's word, to pray without ceasing, to worship daily, and to fellowship regularly.

Then, as Jesus rearranges our inner life, He wants to anchor every aspect of our lives in God's love: "that you, being rooted and grounded in love." With this, He wants to us to experience the dimensions of His love, which are beyond mere head knowledge: "to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height — to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge." This Holy Spirit process is always leading to more spiritual fullness: "that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."

Dear Father in heaven, I humbly cry out to You every word of this majestic prayer. I earnestly desire the reality of its every implication, all by your Holy Spirit, Amen.

AMEN!Smile

Day By Day By Grace - Bob Hoekstra

RESULTS OF BEING FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God. (Ephesians 5:18-21)

When a person is filled with the Holy Spirit, what will the results be in his life? What evidences will develop to validate the work of the Spirit in fullness? In some church traditions, which give considerable attention to the fullness of the Spirit, limited evidences are stressed (such as those mentioned often in Acts: tongues, prophecy, or boldness). The full biblical picture is much larger than this viewpoint.

Ephesians 5:18-21 is a classic example of the scriptures broad perspective on this subject. In verse 18, the command is given to "be filled with the Spirit." The subsequent verses (19-21) list the spiritual consequences that will follow in a life that is characteristically Spirit filled.

When a believer in Jesus Christ is living in the fullness of the Spirit, he will be led and empowered unto fellowship with, and ministry to, others: "speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs." These words fit those times when believers gather together for spiritual celebration through music. Some of the music of the church is directed toward other believers in the form of exhortation and edification. A Spirit filled Christian will be involved in "one another life" in the body of Christ.

Closely related to this, however, is the essential presence of a worshiping heart: "singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord." Genuine fellowship and effective ministry flows forth from an inner life focused in adoration upon the Lord Himself. A Spirit filled Christian will be a worshiper of the true and living God.

Further, when a disciple of Jesus is filled with the Spirit, his life will typically overflow with thanksgiving: "giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." The world and the flesh produce complaints and dissatisfaction. The Spirit of the Lord stirs gratitude and appreciation.

Additionally, servanthood submission is a common attribute of one who is Spirit filled: "submitting to one another in the fear of God." Natural humanity wants to control people and exercise mastery over them. The Spirit of Christ, the servant of all (Matthew 20:28), brings forth humble service from those who revere the Lord.

Father, I bow before Your command to be filled with the Spirit. This I need; this I desire. Lord, forgive me for times of isolation and selfishness. Flood me with Your Spirit unto fellowship and ministry. Forgive any lifeless religion in me and fill me unto true worship. Forgive my griping and complaining and inundate me unto thanksgiving. Forgive my desires to rule and fill me unto servanthood, through Christ, I pray, Amen.

NEVER TRY THIS AT HOME

Lessons Learnt

Know…

Today, the sermon by the pastor(which I forgot his name again,oops..) was on God on the move. A few things that was emphasized here is…

> The importance of Prayer (This reminds me of this song…)

For everytime i pray, i move the hands of God.

My prayer does the things, my hands cannot do.

For everytime I pray, the mountains are removed,

The paths are made straight and nations turn to you.

> Unity (Though there may be disputes and all, it is still important to keep together and stay together as brothers and sisters in Christ)

> Pause (Through the busy times in life, it is always good to pause and think. Pause and see. Pause and give a hand. Pause and be there for someone)

A good messenger

> ever ready to take advantage of an opportunity to preach the Word

> Walked in his redemption

> Boldness in preaching

> Willing to share what we have

> Bears fruit

Ingredients of good message :

> God glorifying message

> Highlights significance of RESURRECTION

> Jesus’s name is important

> Identifies sin – They delivered up Jesus(to the Gentiles for trial)

                         - They denied him in the presence of Pilate

                         - They denied the Holy one and the Just, and asked for

                            the release of a murderer

                         - They killed the Prince of life

> Grace in preaching

> Prophetic (Confirming what is in the past is fulfilled)

> Repentance

Realize…

As the pastor preach, Henry turned and told me, its true. Back in my place, the pastor preaches really dry sermon. Sermon that does not have content and dry. Then I realize, how fortunate we are to be able to hear sermons that are filled with the Holy Spirit and from God. To think that part of the world actually do not have the chance, it is saddening. Be thankful, for we are in a country of freedom of religion. The importance of spending time reading the Word and spending time with God Smile Treasure it. And what’s most important of all, you yourself have to realize where you are with God Smile Don’t let the busy-ness of the world take up your time with God and serving God.

Persevere…

Another good news I heard from Henry! Leo’s mom accepted Christ yesterday! They have been praying for her for around 10 years. Now she is saved! To those out there who have relatives who still have yet to accept Christ or know Christ, don’t give up. Nothing is impossible with God Smile God’s timing is always right. God will not abandon his people.

~ To God be all Glory, honour and power, forever and ever, AMEN~

God is GOOD! :)

God is GOOD, ALL THE TIME,

ALL THE TIME, God is GOOD!

Know it! and make sure you remember!

Though the time maybe short, but even in this short period my God has provided me with all necessities. Prepared me with all necessary skills, meet the right people at the right time and arranged for everything to fall into place without me realizing it.

I’m currently under a ‘FISH’ company. cool eh? I don’t get to count fish. I get to audit the fish company. haha. Just previously I was planning for transportation. Now i’m on the way to fish! I wonder… hehe.

I’m so thankful for everything. God has planned my journey for me. Changing to another client with a senior who actually stays just one road down makes my transportation issue settled for a week. haha. and this senior also is a close friend of my previous’s engagement senior. haha. how small can the world be? What else am I worried off when God takes care of me?

TRUST. FAITH.OBEDIENCE.

Things fall into place when you surrender your life to God Smile AMEN!

Dissatisfaction

D.I.S.S.A.T.I.S.F.A.C.T.I.O.N

This is a very common word i believe everyone knows of BUT yet not everyone admits it. Today itself, I came to realize all around me there are dissatisfied people who grumbles and complains.

Just.never.SATISFIED.with.what.they.have.

Events that happen(BACKWARD)

‘I just found out that the company have decrease our mileage claim from 100plus to 70km. It is also stated in the email that they want to standardized the mileage claim to 70km. How can that be? And why would they want to do that? We can’t lie with mileage. It is fixed. Of course when i found out i’m not happy.’ – Half correct I think. Wasn’t listening fully.

‘I don’t like my job. I can’t stand it. I want to quit’. – This i hear everyday. I have to admit almost every working person will say this once in their life unless they really love and have passion for what they are doing.

‘In the business world, everyone is very stingy and very calculative. I know the working world. How did the rich people manage to climb up the ladders? By being very stingy and not holding on fully to the word TRUST.This is business world.’ – quite true nowadays. But I still believe there are very truthful and real people out there who are still doing well with their business Smile

These, I believe are part of the conversations all over the world. Materialistic. Never satisfied with what they have and wanting more. That’s why when it comes to Money and God, you can never have both. Either you live with satisfaction with what you are blessed with or you continue to chase for worldly material things which is endless and meaningless things. Yes, I know money is important. But wherever in the bible say you must work for money? Like what the phrase say, we eat to live, not live to eat. So, I believe I agree more with ‘we work to live, not live to work!’

SmileWHAT SAY YOU? Smile
