Know…
Today, the sermon by the pastor(which I forgot his name again,oops..) was on God on the move. A few things that was emphasized here is…
> The importance of Prayer (This reminds me of this song…)
For everytime i pray, i move the hands of God.
My prayer does the things, my hands cannot do.
For everytime I pray, the mountains are removed,
The paths are made straight and nations turn to you.
> Unity (Though there may be disputes and all, it is still important to keep together and stay together as brothers and sisters in Christ)
> Pause (Through the busy times in life, it is always good to pause and think. Pause and see. Pause and give a hand. Pause and be there for someone)
A good messenger
> ever ready to take advantage of an opportunity to preach the Word
> Walked in his redemption
> Boldness in preaching
> Willing to share what we have
> Bears fruit
Ingredients of good message :
> God glorifying message
> Highlights significance of RESURRECTION
> Jesus’s name is important
> Identifies sin – They delivered up Jesus(to the Gentiles for trial)
- They denied him in the presence of Pilate
- They denied the Holy one and the Just, and asked for
the release of a murderer
- They killed the Prince of life
> Grace in preaching
> Prophetic (Confirming what is in the past is fulfilled)
> Repentance
Realize…
As the pastor preach, Henry turned and told me, its true. Back in my place, the pastor preaches really dry sermon. Sermon that does not have content and dry. Then I realize, how fortunate we are to be able to hear sermons that are filled with the Holy Spirit and from God. To think that part of the world actually do not have the chance, it is saddening. Be thankful, for we are in a country of freedom of religion. The importance of spending time reading the Word and spending time with God
Treasure it. And what’s most important of all, you yourself have to realize where you are with God
Don’t let the busy-ness of the world take up your time with God and serving God.
Persevere…
Another good news I heard from Henry! Leo’s mom accepted Christ yesterday! They have been praying for her for around 10 years. Now she is saved! To those out there who have relatives who still have yet to accept Christ or know Christ, don’t give up. Nothing is impossible with God
God’s timing is always right. God will not abandon his people.
~ To God be all Glory, honour and power, forever and ever, AMEN~
